This site is designed as a sort of archive for fans of the
now defunct Apple II E computer. Did anyone else out there have
dozens of pirated video games run through "brun" commands saved
on 5 inch floppy disks that were actually floppy?? Well, I spent
hours of my time in the eighties playing these games on a poorly
pixilated green and black screen on my Apple II E, and I'm sure
I'm not the only one. So I got this site together to commemorate
some of those games and the way in which they were played. We
had a version of Frogger and of Pitfall.
The Apple II versions of these games were not really as good
as the Atari versions that we had at the same time though. Now
Atari was pretty cool and it had color, and the kid down the
block had Intellivision and Colecovision which were both pretty
cool, but the abundance of Apple II games and the ease of copying
them made them oh so wonderful. Also, I should say that we were
the only ones on the block who had the green and black screen.
The two other gamers nearby had color monitors
which made the games even more exciting. Also, I should say
that we did buy one game, and it was worth it - Carmen Sandiago
was a very cool game back in the day and it was very much worth
the money. Oh yeah, I just remembered how you could make one
of those disks two sided by taking a whole punch and creating
a half-punch in the correct spot near the top of the disk.
