Am I the only one who spent hundreds of hours playing games on my Apple IIe????

Anyways, back to the games. Montezuma's revenge was very involved and happened to be one of my very favorites. This was one of the first that later games like Zelda picked up on - the ability to sustain a narrative and keep you interested in a prolonged adventure. Lode Runner was solid, always fun to play. Mario Bros was awful, not fun at all. Another favorite was Robotman where there was all sorts of fun to be had including a build-your-own level setting. ICBM was fun. Viper was a version of the popular game Snake now found on many cell phones.

My brother loved Castle Wolfenstien and Castle Wolfenstein II. I guess these are sort of a hilarious analog to the now VR versions of these games and games like Quake. Another favorite of mine was Karateka, which was exciting and not too hard to win. A real payoff when you rescued that damsel at the end. Please email me if you like this page and if you can think of any others. Also there was Taipan and another game whose name I forget where you could be a number of different things including a banshee, and you faced off against one other weird being.

Maybe Yahoo does too, but I prefer Dmoz...
